Community Health Forums
Partners HealthCare, in collaboration with Words Can Work ®, is hosting a series of educational health forums. Along with the Massachusetts Departments of Public Health, Elementary and Secondary Education, and Mental Health, Partners is sponsoring these forums in an effort to foster discussion and debate about how to address some of the most pressing health issues in our local communities today.
The forums feature stories from people who have been affected by the specific issue, and an audience discussion with a panel of clinical and policy experts.
Hundreds of people – committed to working to prevent domestic and sexual violence – shared their personal stories and discussed ways to improve the community response to violence at a State House forum sponsored by Partners.
Through the forum, Partners HealthCare and Words Can Work shared information with young people, parents, teachers, school administrators and community health advocates about the signposts of and effective responses to bullying.
Educators, parents, school administrators, health care providers and young people learned more about healthy living at the Educational Health Forum hosted at the Massachusetts State House.
