PHI Partner Alfaisal University Recognizes Medical Students On Topping Nationwide Progress Test
Medical students across all years (1-5) from Alfaisal University, a private institution in Saudi Arabia and a PHI partner since 2007, took a national progress test last spring along with 11 other medical schools in the country. Test results showed 27 of the 35 Alfaisal graduating students scored above the national average, and many 3rd year Alfaisal students scored higher than 5th year students at other Saudi medical schools. Alfaisal's test average in all years shows an upward trend by almost doubling every year, demonstrating a continuous improvement in the students' learning experience in the five years of their curriculums. Team from MGH Burns Center Assists in Relocation of New Burns Unit at Hamad Medical Corporation in Qatar
PHI recently collaborated with a team of specialists from the Sumner Redstone Burns Center at Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) to help facilitate the relocation of a new Burns Unit at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Doha, Qatar. Bermuda Patients Get Access to Orthopedic Care at Newton-Wellesley Hospital
PHI recently signed a contract with Canadian Medical Network (CMN) to provide comprehensive and advanced orthopedic care to patients in Bermuda at Partners Newton-Wellesley Hospital (NWH). “Now Bermudians who are seeking these type of services off-island can receive cost-effective, high quality orthopedic care at one of the top hospitals in the U.S.,” said Leslie Shane, R.N., PHI’s Director of Patient Services and local expert for the Bermuda market. CMN will begin referring orthopedic patients to NWH over the next few months.
