Project Scope:

We assembled a Faculty Team comprised of three faculty members drawn from Partners Healthcare System (PHS), Massachusetts General Hospital Institute for Health Professionals (MGHIHP) and or Harvard Medical School (HMS) to develop and deliver a program entitled “Health Professionals as Educators and Leaders.” Now in its third year, the program is based on the Harvard Macy Institute Model with advisory consultation from Harvard Macy Institute Faculty. The program focuses on key concepts in clinical education that inform the development and implementation of a successful clinical teaching program that includes collaborative, inter-professional teaching and learning, with the goal of enhancing clinical patient care. This program is intended to serve as one component of a four-part framework to define and promote educational competency and effectiveness for inter-professional clinician-educators at NHG.
