Future developments
Most future development from my lab will now focus on a related software package PLINK. Some of the previously planned extensions to WHAP (e.g. more flexible family-based analyses, parent-of-origin tests, etc) either are already implemented in PLINK or will be.The main feature of WHAP that will not be implemented in PLINK is the framework for testing nested models, allowing the conditional haplotype tests to be performed, which remains the primary reason for using WHAP.
